Four jailed for erotic dancing in KL Zouk
Four young women - Nor Fadilah Md Yatim, 21, Rabiatul Adawiyah Abd Muis, 23, Hasianty Hamidi, 22 and Siti Hajar, 23 - pleaded guilty to behaving inappropriately in public. They were sentenced to jail for 12 days. They were performing an erotic dance wearing flimsy underwear and transparent clothing at Kuala Lumpur's newly-opened Zouk nightclub.
Meanwhile, two male dancers Nik Faizal Nik Mat, 24, and Zulkefli Othman, 24, were also charged with committing the same offence. However, they pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The dancers were paid for each performance. The dancers were given specific instructions to perform erotic dances as a gimmick to attract patrons. The Zouk KL, opened in March this year. Some 2,500 of Kuala Lumpur's partying elite had turned up for the $45,000-launch of the Singapore nightclub's sister branch in Kuala Lumpur.
